Valentines Day Coupons

Affiliates who are into the coupon niche will enjoy a look at the CouponChief, as they offer up a coupon code for Valentines Day.

While CouponChief has a lot of different merchant’s coupons to choose from, I think for Valentines Day I’m kind of partial to their VintageTub merchant and maybe a little something from the ChocolateSource.

So affiliates, don’t forget to bring a little romance into your life this year, and make sure you get some Valentine’s special on your sites. CouponChief shows you it’s the offers that matter the most to the people who come to coupon sites, so make sure to stay on top of the seasonal offerings.

Affiliate Program for Cell Phones

Wirefly has asked us to take a look at their InPhonic affiliate details for their affiliate program. The link we’ve provided for will take you to their brief affiliate information page and then, to their sign-up page on LinkShare.

InPhonic, along with other companies like Apple, Walmart, American Express, are using the LinkShare affiliate tracking solution. So, if you know how LinkShare works, you’ve got a good handle on how the InPhonic affiliate program operates.

InPhonic is all about cell phones, so affiliates with niche related sites should take a look at their program. Wirefly/InPhonic has won awards as Best in Overall Customer Experience for their wireless services (Awarded by Keynote Systems). If you’ve dealt with cell phone companies, you know that’s a coveted award, and probably the reason Wirefly is the number one seller of cell phones and wireless plans.

To find out the rest of their affiliate program’s terms, you have to join or be a member of the LinkShare Network. So, I’d say if cell phones are your niche this is worth taking a look and seeing how you can partner with InPhonic.

Affiliate Fundraising

Imagine taking affiliate programs and using them for charity, that’s what some people are doing on the net these days.

I came across fundraising.com and the site’s got a lot of excitement about it with a huge variety of fundraising opportunities. Seems like a very innovative website utilizing some very solid web marketing strategies while helping others with their fundraisers.

With a strong focus on church fundraising, this website is very much worth taking a peek at for budding affiliates wanting to know what to do with their coupon or daily deals website.

Signs Affiliate Program

Here’s a great niche that’s one of those overlooked by many affiliates. It’s a ecommerce store for sign building. I mean think about it, people are always looking for signage for different things. It’s actually a pretty hot market and this new merchant looks to have some potential for your guys.

I’m going to cut them a break because clearly their website is new, but their affiliate page needs a whole lot more information. So, when you email them to inquire about the affiliate program, be sure and ask all the important questions you need to know as an affiliate.

Who knew Yard Signs would be an unexploited niche?! Maybe I need some bumper stickers for the Affiliate Guild?!

Great Landing Page on Back Pain Relief

For those of us who suffer from back pain, especially back pain caused from an injury that’s never going to get better, we’re constantly on the lookout for new products that might provide some relief.

I was cruising the web and came across PorcuPad.com … the name alone made me stop and take a look just to see what it was about.

For affiliates and merchants alike, here’s a really good example of a long sales page or landing page that doesn’t look tacky. They’re doing all the right things to make this page a high conversion page and sell a boat load of pain relief PorcuPads.

The page is dotted with customer satiation guarantees that promise 100% good customer service and an implied refund if not satisfied. The page is also dotted with the SSL secure website image that GoDaddy provides their SSL certificates. That’s important for helping buyers feel comfortable about the buy process.

They first offer the reader a free report for opting in to a newsletter email. That means they first go after capturing the reader’s contact information, then they go after the sale.

The buy now options are nicely framed in two easy to read sections which actually start the buy process by encouraging the buyer to choose which shipping option they’d like.

I have to say, a stealth product and a great landing page are going to produce sales. I hurt my back some 15 years ago pretty badly, and anything that will ease the pain of sciatica is worth serious consideration in my world.

Affiliate Gold While Looking For Relief

I like to show new affiliates what a good affiliate website looks like, and I want to share one with you … but please don’t copy them.I was surfing the web looking for information on humidifiers, and came upon the complete guide to buying a house humidifier.Because of the heater being on all the time in the winter, the air in the house gets very dry and that’s making our skin dry. What to speak of waking up every morning with a sore throat from the heater running a lot during the night.

I thought buying a humidifier would help resolve the problem, and while I was looking around the Internet researching the different brands (Honeywell, Holmes, Hunter), I came to HumidifierInformation.com.

It’s not a huge affiliate’s website by any means, but it’s well done. It uses a variety of keywords in the text, a pleasing template, has strong backlinks and really the only links for the consumer are the Google ads. I’m sure the affiliate who owns this site will be developing it more, with more content. But take note newbie affiliates, this is how you can start up your own affiliate website and promote it a smaller niche.

Now again, please don’t copy this guy. That the example and go find your own niche! Wander over to HumidifierInformation.com.

Promotional Affiliates

I was thinking about affiliates who want to work within the coupon, sweepstakes and promotional items types of affiliate marketing. With regard to that, I understand that a number of merchants will no longer with these types of affiliates because of a variety of issues. The biggest issue being credibility and high maintenance for the merchant.

However, I can’t help but think that if you ran a promotional site as clean and polished as DealKing’s site, that you’d be able to entice those merchants back into the world of promotional affiliate marketing.

Recently DealKing asked me to take a look at their site and give you and them some feedback. I like DealKing’s site. It’s very user friendly and clearly promotes the special that they have … right now looks like the best deals are on Cingular Go phones and Prepaid T-Mobile phones.

If you are a promotional affiliate or thinking about going into that, I think one of the ways dealking.com gets their edge is with their cash back offers from sites such as Buy.com … good stuff.

Performancing Goes PayPerPost

PayPerPost announces the purchase of Performancing, and Performancing announces their partial acquisition by PayPerPost. All these bits and parts add up to a lot of pieces that when put together will make PayPerPost a much stronger company. The paid to post blogging model of advertising is proving to be an amazing way of spreading the word about … well, about anything and everything. It’s no wonder that PayPerPost is stretching it’s reach to include much of Performancing.

So, what parts didn’t PayPerPost buy?

According to Nick Wilson of Performancing, the purchase does not include their Partners Ad Network, nor their PFF.

What it does include is the Performancing Metric technology, the domain name Performancing.com, and the Performancing Exchange technologies.

The chat amongst the blogging community is mixed as always. It’s controversy and we bloggers live for these moments. Some are delighted that PPP will now have the type of metrics that will afford them huge amounts of blog statistics, and that’s what Marketing professionals live for. Others see any chumming by Performancing with PPP to be beyond their grasp to comprehend. But when the dust settles, what we now know as Performancing will be moving over to PPP. PayPerPost’s bloggers will now be able to track visitor stats and monitor AdSense auditing for their blogs.

The parts of Performancing not sold will find a new domain and brand identity … also something Marketing professionals live for.

Let’s face it guys, the landscape of blog advertising has changed forever. The world of professional blogging has just expanded by another 28,000 bloggers.
